Cycling loop around Sword Beach
Leave from Colleville-Montgomery and discover this cycling loop around Sword Beach, the most easterly D-Day Landing beach. Sword is the codename given on D-Day to the sector between Ouistreham Riva-Bella and Luc-Sur-Mer. From historic sites to museums, via sensitive natural areas, the last portion of the route takes you along the Orne Canal to Ouistreham. Along your way, you can stop at the famous Pegasus Bridge and museum, one of the key historic sites associated with D-Day. Download the ’Cycling in Calvados’ brochure.
