Reputed to be the jewel in the Pays d'Auge crown, the Château de Saint-Germain-de-Livet is located to the south of Lisieux, in Calvados. Visit the castle that offers the finest illustration of typical Norman architecture.

The Château de Saint-Germain-de-Livet comprises typical half-timbered features: a traditional 15th century manor house and a 16th century building in varnished brick and stone produced in towns situated around Lisieux (Céramique du Pré d'Auge).
Visit the furnished interior of the Château de Saint-Germain-de-Livet, where you can also admire paintings by the artist Léon Riesener.
The castle has been the property of the town of Lisieux since 1958.

As you wait for, or immediately after your guided tour, you can relish in a choice of gourmet delights at "Aux 3 gourmands du château", a tearoom and pancake house offering splendid views over this fine property.
