Glassmaker’s studio. From tableware to light fittings, I invite you to come and discover my work, which is the result of fusing and thermoforming techniques.
Fusing:
This is a technique involving the collage of pieces of glass thanks to the application of high temperatures.
Indeed, when glass is heated and certain technical constraints overcome, it becomes sticky so that, when several pieces of glass are superimposed, they fuse during cooling.
Thermoforming:
Thermoforming consists in giving glass a shape, thanks again to the right temperature.
Previously fused plates of glass are placed in moulds and heated. The high temperature renders the glass malleable so that it can be fitted to take the shape of the mould.
