Throughout the picturesque area of the Pays d'Auge.

A genuine picture postcard of Normandy, the Cider Route takes you to the heart of the Pays d’Auge to discover cider, calvados and pommeau producers in a setting adorned with apple orchards and half-timbered houses.

Within the geographical area which comprises the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée des Cidres du Pays d’Auge, the Cider Route reunites twenty producers around the town of Cambremer. Distilleries and cidermakers are identified by the “Cru de Cambremer” sign. Cider and calvados producers are delighted to welcome you, to offer you a taste of their produce and an insight into their skills.

Certain producers are open for visits by appointment, whereas others are open all year round, such as Calvados Dupont and the Manoir de Grandouet, to name but two.

The Calvados Pierre Huet distillery is well worth a detour: it is one of the only distilleries to rely on renewable energy to power its still!

On your next visit, make sure you pay a visit to the medieval Château de Crèvecoeur-en-Auge which, every year, hosts the Crèvecoeur medieval fair – a two-week event including activities and demonstrations straight from the Middle Ages. Also waiting to be discovered: the Jardins du Pays d’Auge – gardens and eco-museum in Cambremer and the typical village of Beuvron-en-Auge, listed as one of France’s most beautiful.
