Become a scientist for the day as you board your kayak over an original exploration of the sea’s waters. Your expedition begins on your kayak, equipped with nets to collect plankton in the Bay of Sallenelles, in the Orne Estuary. Take your own samples and observe plankton under a microscope. See how they swarm! Your instructor will explain the role played by plankton, its importance in the maritime environment and its place in the food chain. You will be able to identify and recognise different types of plankton and even to take photos of them using connected cameras. Did you say original? Perfect for the curious visitor…
All participants able swim, from 10 years. Minimum 6 participants, maximum 16.
Come prepared - In fine weather: Shoes (trainers) that can be worn in water, sunglasses with cord, cap or hat, sun cream, shorts and t-shirt - In cloudy weather: Shoes (trainers) that can be worn in water, warm pullover (eg fleece), windbreaker and hat. P.S.: Don’t forget to bring a USB key to load the pictures of your experience to take home.
