Along the River Orne.

Located to the south of Caen, the Suisse Normande Route is a marked 65km (40-mile) tourist trail that runs along the River Orne.

The Suisse Normande Route takes you on a journey through rugged and steep landscapes as you meander your way along the winding banks of the Orne. From Saint-Omer, a number of breathtaking viewpoints offer you panoramic views from the “Pain de Sucre” and the “Rochers des Parcs” that comprise the Crest Route.

Suisse Normande is also one of Normandy’s best playgrounds for nature sports enthusiasts: hiking, mountain-biking, paragliding, climbing…

The open-air leisure base in Pont d’Ouilly offers, among other activities, the possibility to paddle down the Orne aboard a canoe or a kayak: a great day out with the family or friends!

You can stop over in several places during your tour of Suisse Normande: the Château de Pontécoulant, near Condé-sur-Noireau, the Hardy (Impressionist painter) museum and the miniature railway in Clécy – one of Europe’s largest model railways!

And don’t miss the village of Clécy with its typical stone and slate buildings, reminiscent of a genuine mountain village in the heart of Normandy.

Gourmet cycling tour in the company of a nature guide around the characterful village of Clécy and its panoramic views.
