The D-Day Landing sites by bike
This cycling loop in the heart of the Normandy Landing beaches takes you on a discovery tour of the D-Day heritage sites. Departing from the medieval city of Bayeux, spared by the 1944 bombings, set off towards Longues-sur-Mer where you can visit the famous German artillery battery. After cycling your way along the coast, where magnificent wide-angle viewpoints await you - the Manche area to the north and the spires of Bayeux Cathedral to the south - you will reach the seafront resort of Arromanches-les-Bains. As you make your way down to the village, you can marvel at the vestiges of the artificial harbour. A cycle route not to be missed, in Normandy. Follow No. 5 signs.
