After a stroll along the seafront, you will reach the Orne Bay, a sensitive natural area, home to a wealth of fauna and flora.
This easy 15km walking route leaving from Sallenelles, near Cabourg, is sure to delight nature lovers.
Sometimes referred to as the ‘Petite Somme’, the Orne Bay offers a prime refuge and a haven of peace for the migratory birds that rest here on their long journey. Meander your way through the Gros Banc ornithological reserve where, over the seasons, sandpipers, penguins and, in particular, Kentish plovers come to nest and are the subject of special protection. Make sure you pay a visit to the nature and estuary centre to learn more about this sensitive natural area: exhibitions, discovery workshops, information, etc.
