Lower Normandy’s leading traditional fishing harbour, Port-en-Bessin-Huppain is particularly renowned for its scallops. Furthermore, every year the Goût du Large festival, which lasts a whole weekend, pays tribute to its scallops and seafood. Pleasure boaters are also welcome to Port-en-Bessin-Huppain over the summer months: berthing pontoon, sanitary facilities, showers, kitchen, etc. Since 2013, the Tourist Office has been offering a special ‘pleasure boaters’ welcome’ area next to the tourist desk. This harbour town can also be discovered over one of the guided tours organised by the Léopold Sédar Senghor Cultural Centre.
