On the clifftops overlooking the English Channel, the Longues-sur-Mer artillery battery played a strategic role during the D-Day Landings on the 6th of June 1944. Four casemates - all with their original guns - and a firing command post comprise this major site on the Atlantic Wall. The Longues-sur-Mer battery can be visited over an unaccompanied or a guided tour (French/English).
