In Falaise, a museum devoted to civilians during the Second World War and during the D-Day Landings in Normandy.
Come and find out how the civilians lived and survived the Second World War
An opportunity to remember that this war cost the lives of more civilians than it did soldiers. Designed by the Mémorial de Caen, the museum's scenography places emotion and memory transmission at the heart of the site's aims. Over a 1,000m2 exhibition area, you will discover the poignant testimonies of survivors, together with a collection of objects from everyday life and original archives from the Mémorial de Caen collection and kindly donated from the inhabitants of Falaise and the region.
