Set off from Caumont-sur-Aure for a walking tour of the hedgerowed bocage landscapes.
This easy loop of a distance just over 10km is accessible to all and takes around 2 hours 30 minutes. Walkers can also choose a shorter itinerary around this small village in Normandy’s Pré-Bocag area. When you arrive or before you leave, you can also visit one of Calvados’ unique visitor centres: the Souterroscope des Ardoisières, a former slate mine with exhibited minerals. Along your way, stop at the observation table and, weather permitting, enjoy the views over the Bessin area, the D-Day Landing beaches and Bayeux Cathedral.
