Nestling within the vast Seine estuary, in the centre of a small town boasting beautiful 17th and 18th-century slate-roofed houses, the port of Honfleur is a lively destination, whatever the season.
Each of its three basins is devoted to one of the town’s activities. The oldest, the ‘Vieux Bassin’, or Old Harbour is home to Honfleur’s marina, offering 80 berths, 30 of which are for visitors. It is also where you will find the Cercle Nautique, which organises a vast programme of events all year, including the Sailors' Fair. Continue your tour of Honfleur over a visit to the fishing harbour. Its fleet of around forty boats specialises in shrimp and scallop fishing. Finally, the story of this unique harbour would not be complete without a glimpse of the river port and cruise terminal on the River Seine.
