You are sure to appreciate all the facets of the beach at Hermanville-sur-Mer…
This fine sandy beach is lined with magnificent seafront villas, built in the late 19th and early 20th century, some of which are famous, such as La Bluette, a characteristic example of the French architect Hector Guimard’s Art Nouveau style. Not just a feast for your eyes, a host of seafront pleasures and watersports for all to enjoy, under the watchful eye of lifeguards in the high season. The CVLH sailing school is also at your disposal over a range of activities or an initiation into shellfish gathering. You can access the beach from different spots, and you’ll find a convenient car park nearby, together with a range of stores and catering outlets. The beach is lifeguarded by 2 lifeguard posts (one in Place du Cuirassé Courbet, and one in Place de la 3ème D.I.B.) They are open from 1st July to 31st August. Beach surveillance is effectively in place when the regulatory flag is duly hoisted on the mast at each life guard post.
