Located on the D-Day Landing beaches, the N°4 Commando Museum in Ouistreham offers you an insight into the story of this French commando led by Philippe Kieffer.
On the 6th of June 1944, the 177 French soldiers that comprised the Kieffer Commando landed on the beach at Colleville-Montgomery, in the Sword Beach sector, to contribute towards the region's liberation.
The museum, located opposite the beach, tells you who these men were, why they voluntarily enlisted and what they accomplished during the Battle of Normandy.
On site: a 3.6m x 1.1m scale model, a film and a range of display cabinets with WWII period objects.
Unaccompanied tour time: 50 minutes.
