“As the theme of this exhibition of public chairs is water, I wanted to represent “Jesus” walking on water in front of a poor fisherman, a water bearer inspired by Cosette in the famous masterpiece of Victor Hugo, then the hope of a future life on Mars with a character disembarking from a spacecraft to bring some water and “Mary”, represented under a starred sky pouring water to give life.”
Abraham Dayan was born in 1960 in Casablanca (Morocco) and has French nationality. In 1963, when he was 3, his parents moved to Paris and settled down to create their own company. He has a General Academic Studies Degree. When he was 18, he started to work for the family company and created his own brand of watches. At 33, he decided to leave everything to devote himself to painting. His characteristic paintings are exhibited in several national and international exhibitions.
