The D-Day Museum in Arromanches is a site not to be missed over your tour of the landing beaches. It offers a fascinating insight into how the famous artificial harbour worked.
Opposite the beach in Arromanches, this new version of the museum, open since April 2023, tells the story of the D-Day Landings in Normandy and of the prefabricated harbours. Animated and 3D scale models, photos and film archives, a collection of period objects and an original monumental film projection offer the visitor total immersion into history. Over a 7 sequence 1,200m² exhibition area, you will discover the incredible technological prowess required to build the prefabricated harbours and the essential role they played in the Battle of Normandy. Visit lasts 1 hour 30 minutes.
