At the heart of the D-Day landing beaches, just west of Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, lies the pretty port of Grandcamp-Maisy, home to the Grandcomaiserais pleasure boating club.

Wooden pontoons lined with wooden boats and yachts bid you a lively welcome. This is where the CPG (pleasure boating club) organizes nautical events such as regattas, fishing contests and sea outings. Once you've passed through the narrow channel, set sail for Banc du Grand Vey before heading out to sea from Grandcamp-Maisy. You'll discover the Pointe du Hoc, shingled headlands where allied forces landed on June 6th, 1944. You can also admire the peaceful colony of seals that has been making this place its home for a very long time. Accompanied by the chanting seagulls, make your way back to shore after a delicious moment of timeless adventure.
