Run entirely by enthusiastic volunteers, the Bernières Sailing Club, an affiliate of the French Sailing Federation, is not an actual sailing school. Its goal is to promote and share its passion for sailing with local members.

The members use their own vessels – catamarans, sailing dinghies, windsurfs and kiteboards – on year-round outings organized by the Bernières Sailing Club along the Côte de Nacre. Onshore gatherings are also organized. While the club itself does not offer sailing lessons, it helps finance and organize training courses at the Bernières Sailing School for its young members. Conviviality, conversation and sharing are key concepts at the club. You can also find lots of useful information on the club's website thanks to its weather station and webcam.
