The striking vestiges of a medieval fortress, in the heart of the picturesque Suisse Normande area

Built between the 10th and the 13th century, the fortress that was home to the Counts of Ganne, lords of La Pommeraye, still boasts some fine vestiges: a splendid porch tower, a chapel, a bakehouse and a fine residential building.

The site is accessible during a programme of cultural events: Stonework Illuminations, Château Ganne Medieval Fair, and the European Heritage Days.

The Château Ganne site is also among the sensitive natural areas of Calvados, and is consequently protected thanks to its ecological and landscaping relevance.
