The Château de Lantheuil was built in 1613 by the Marquis Turgot, the French king’s finance minister.
Since, the castle has remained in the same family, occupied over the centuries by a diplomat, the king’s finance minister and a Marshal of the Empire.
The owners of this jewel in the Bessin area’s heritage, nestling amidst a 200-hectare wooded estate between Bayeux and Caen, have decided to open the doors of the magnificent formal gardens that surround the castle.
