Description

The Caen Plongée diving club is a member of the French Federation of Undersea Studies and Sports. From May to December, club members organize diving expeditions out to sea to admire the many wrecks from World War II.

Underwater expeditions start in the boarding zone of the Port of Ouistreham. Before heading out to sea, instructors provide members with diving lessons, helping them evolve progressively before taking the big plunge. Non-members may also accompany the club on sea expeditions if they are in possession of a valid diving licence. The club has one boat, the Atlantis, that can take up to 20 divers, 50 12-litre bottles, 48 regulators and 22 stab jackets on board. Trips are also organized to other parts of France, like the Cotentin region, and abroad (England, Egypt, Russia, etc.).
