The British Bayeux War Cemetery is located in the immediate vicinity of the Battle of Normandy Memorial Museum.
It is home to the graves of 4,144 Commonwealth soldiers, 3,935 of whom were British.
The cemetery is also home to the graves of over 500 soldiers of other nationalities, among whom a majority of Germans.
Opposite the cemetery, there is a Memorial in memory of the 2,092 Commonwealth soldiers killed during the Battle of Normandy and for whom there is no grave.
