The Sea Wading Association of the Côte de Nacre, based in Hérouville-Saint-Clair in Calvados, brings together dozens of water-walking enthusiasts who wish to share the fun of this new sport that involves wading waist-deep through the sea, with or without the help of a paddle.

This club of wading enthusiasts benefits from an affiliation with the 'Sentiers Bleus' association which tests trails for your safety and enjoyment. The people in charge of the association organize regular get-togethers on the many beaches in Normandy that make perfect spots for sea wading along the Calvados coastline. The sessions are held all along the Côte de Nacre, from Hermanville and Colleville-Montgomery to Asnelles, Ver-sur-Mer and, of course, Ouistreham. Participants are free to use a paddle if they wish - they must however provide their own material. Sea wading is a well-reputed way of toning muscles and getting the blood flowing.
