Description

Discover the charm of sailing vessels of yesteryear on a visit to Honfleur and take a look at the marvellous boats that have been restored by the 'La Chaloupe' association, in particular the Sainte Bernadette!

A jewel in the crown of Calvados maritime heritage and the oldest fishing boat in the Basse-Normandie region (still fit for navigation), this 42-foot cutter was lovingly restored by sailing enthusiasts between 1990 and 1992. Renovated using her original framework and keel, she is now a listed 'Historic Monument'. Three-time winner at the 'Boats of the Coasts of France' awards, the Sainte Bernadette has participated in a number of rallies, receiving awards and recognition on many occasions. The 'La Chaloupe' association also offers several training courses, teaching others all about boating for pleasure, on rivers or at sea. Taught by sailing pros with over 20 years of experience, these theoretical and practical courses are for all, individuals and professionals alike.
