Anne Fontaine

Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1971, Anne Fontaine is the daughter of a Brazilian mother and a Franco-German father. At the age of 17, this ecology enthousiast decided to live for six months in the Amazonian forest in north-east Brazil. When she was 20, she settled in France to study, and met her future husband, Ari Zlotkin.

It was when she discovered an old chest full of white shirt patterns that they both decided to take over the family clothes-making business, to date run by her parents.

Hence, the brand Anne Fontaine was born. Over the years, she has successfully asserted the white shirt as an essential garment in any lady’s wardrobe. The Anne Fontaine brand gradually developed by proposing a genuine lifestyle, around a complete wardrobe focusing on her famous shirts, accompanied by a range of accessories.
