The church is thought to date back at the beginning of the 12th century, as confirmed by its oldest span, with a Plantagenet arc and narrow windows. Built on the heights of Deauville, this sanctuary does not lack in beauty and greatness.
Abandoned during the Revolution, the Saint-Laurent church was the parish church of the old village of Dosville since ancient times. The parish church, without a priest since that time, has been temporarily linked to the church of Bénerville, until the creation of a "Nouveau Deauville", with the Saint-Augustin church, gave it again its religious independence.
The Saint-Laurent church has been included in the French Supplementary Historic Monument List on September 23, 1977, on the request of Michel d'Ornano, Mayor of Deauville at that time.
