Oops! Too late - sorry, you've missed this event.

Reading lovers meet every day in front of the “Beach reading” stand, managed by the Biblio’Tech team.

In Deauville, summer is the right time to read novels, comics or daily newspapers sitting on the beach. Here, you can borrow for free a mystery novel, a magazine, an essay, a child book for the entire day...a large selection that meets the needs of everybody, without forgetting children. Not enough time to end your captivating mystery novel? A bookmark with your name is inserted. The book is kept aside so that you can borrow it again on the following day.

In this friendly area, you can also sit on the deckchairs or on the bench to have a refreshing reading break before going back to your beach towel. This summer initiative is supported by the City of Deauville who wants to make reading accessible to everybody. This approach is developed every year through several activities and literary events.

The Biblio’Tech team is also on the beach to promote the rich cultural program of Deauville and to inform about its digital services. The portal gives Internet access to 51,000 books, 10,000 music CDs, 2,000 DVDs that constitute the richness of the media library of Deauville. Borrow a book, it’s for free!
