Did you know that the Château de Creully was home to a BBC studio in the summer of 1944? A British reporter was sent to set up his transmitter in a tent on the heights of the village, but the noise of the fighting was so loud that he chose to take refuge in a tower of the Château de Creully to safely make his recordings. The tower was used by the BBC for over a month to broadcast news of the Battle of Normandy and was visited by many war journalists. Discover the role of radio communications and coded messages in the success of the D-Day Landings during this interactive workshop. Your goal as you decipher the messages: reveal the role of the three characters linked to secret communications. Booking recommended
