26 leading figures of Deauville parade on the Boardwalk in summer 2019. An open-air original exhibition made up by two contemporary artists invites you to see Deauville from the perspective of those who forged its story.

Simonne L’Hermitte and Isabelle Barthel, painters and illustrators, have chosen 26 known and unknown personalities that have loved, created, written, painted, played, dreamed and lived memorable moments during their occasional or frequent stays in Deauville.
Two artists with complementary career backgrounds draw 26 real-size personalities on the left door of the sea cabins; the link between these figures and Deauville is revealed on the right door of the cabin with original descriptions written by Philippe Normand.

Simonne L’Hermitte lives and works in Deauville. Graduated at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts of Rouen and agrégé in plastic arts, Simonne L’Hermitte designed the setting of the Cirque Rancy and created clothes for Louis Féraud. As a painter, she exhibited her works in Paris, Deauville, Trouville, Rouen, Brussels, Geneva and New York.

Isabelle Barthel lives and works in Trouville-sur-Mer. Graduated from the ENSAD (Arts déco) / Paris, Isabelle Barthel, painter and illustrator, has been working on original creations, available on different supports for: Louis Vuitton, Hermès, L’Opéra National de Paris, Daum, Haviland et Parton / Limoges, the Hotels of the Barrière group, …
