Description

17th edition of "La semaine acadienne": the exhibition of Jacques Doll's paintings, "L'Acadie de A à Z", will be presented from August 1st to 15th on the jetty of Courseulles-sur-mer
Witness of the landing on June 6, 1944, and of the liberation of Saint Aubin sur mer by the Canadian soldiers of the North Shore regiment of New Brunswick (composed of many Acadians), Jacques Doll was a great friend of the festival. He drew all the portraits and drawings for the exhibitions "They saw the landing and the liberation of Carpiquet", "Arthur Hach", history of an Acadian family", "Alphonse Noel, itinerary of an Acadian soldier" and many others
As Jacques left us on September 29, 2016, this exhibition is our way of telling him that "we do not forget him."
